At Outer Aisle, we're going beyond the grain on International Waffle Day and celebrating with a low carb swap (and a little bit of a twist) on waffles. Try this Keto Waffle Pizza Sandwich and enjoy breakfast all day.
For those of you abiding by a strict health based diet like: Ketogenic, Low Glycemic, or just a simple Low-Carb approach, waffles may have felt completely out of reach for you. Not anymore, we've applied our versatile cauliflower pizza crust and swapped out the high carb options so you can use them for sandwiches, wraps, pancakes, and even "waffles!" Here's the recipe:
- 1 pack Outer Aisle Pizza Crusts
- 2 ounces of turkey pepperoni
- 2 tbsp low carb pizza sauce
- 2/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Spread pizza sauce and place pepperoni and cheese on one Outer Aisle Pizza Crust
Place the other pizza crust on top
Place in waffle maker
Cook until cheese is melting out the sides of the pizza crusts or to your desired crispiness
Plate and enjoy!
