Keto Chalupa Copycat

INGREDIENTS:

• 8 Jalapeño Sandwich Rounds

• 1 pound ground beef

• 1 packet taco seasoning

• 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

• 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

• 1/2 cup shredded lettuce

• 1/2 cup sour cream

• 1/2 cup diced onions

• 1/4 cup diced jalapeños

• Optional: Cooking oil for frying


PREPARATION:

Air fryer or oven:

1. Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, then add the taco seasoning and water following the instructions on the packet. Stir until well combined and the meat is fully coated with the seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. Brush the Sandwich Rounds with olive oil and place in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350º or in the oven for 8 minutes at 400º, or until crispy.

3. Assemble the chalupas by placing each Sandwich Round on a plate or taco holder. Top with a spoonful of the meat mixture, followed by shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, diced onions, and jalapeños.

4. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious chalupa copycat!


Pan frying:

1. Heat a skillet on medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, then add the taco seasoning and water following the instructions on the packet. Stir until well combined and the meat is fully coated with the seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.

2. In a separate skillet, heat up enough cooking oil to fry the Sandwich Rounds. When the oil is hot, add one sandwich round at a time and fry until crispy and golden brown on both sides. Repeat with the remaining Sandwich Rounds.

3. Assemble the chalupas by placing each Sandwich Round on a plate or taco holder. Top with a spoonful of the meat mixture, followed by shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, diced onions, and jalapeños.
