Low Carb Lasagna Made with Outer Aisle Pizza Crusts

Who says pizza crusts can only make pizza?
Last week, we experimented with our Italian Pizza Crusts and made this delicious lasagna with:
- Meat Sauce
- Spinach
- Mozzarella, and ricotta cheese.
This low carb lasagna recipe takes about 40 minutes to cook, and makes a nutritious lunch and dinner.Â
Ingredients:Â
- 2 lbs of meat (we used 1 lb ground lean turkey & 1 lb hot Italian turkey sausage)
- 4 Outer Aisle Italian Pizza Crusts
- 1 large container of ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1 bag of shredded mozzarella (2 cups)
- 1 bottle of pasta sauce (we like the RagĂą with no sugar)
- 1 bunch/bag of fresh spinach
- Parmesan cheese
Cooking Directions:
1. Cook meat until browned and cooked
2. Add pasta sauce to the meat and heat thoroughly
3. Assemble lasagna in the following order:
- 1/3 of the meat sauce
- 2 Outer Aisle Italian Pizza Crusts
- Spinach (really cooks down, don’t be shy, its healthy!)
- 1/2 of the cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 1/2 of the mozzarella
- 1/3 of the meat sauce
- 2 Outer Aisle Italian Pizza Crusts
- 1/2 of the cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
- 1/2 of the mozzarella
- 1/3 of the meat sauce
- Top with parmesan cheese
4. Heat oven to 350 and bake for 40 minutes until sides are bubbly
