It’s Halloween….so much candy! We wanted to give you some ideas that will help balance the sugar and bring some tasty, healthy treats to your Halloween!
*Jack o’ Lantern Pizza*
1 Outer Aisle Gourmet pizza crust
1/2 cup orange sauce (pureed Bruschetta – Trader Joes)
1/2 cup Goat Gouda cheese (mozzarella if preferred)
5 pieces pepperoni (cut into shapes for pumpkin face)
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Top crust with orange sauce.
- Add cheese on top of sauce and top with pepperoni shapes to make Jack o’ lantern face.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes on pizza pan.
Tip: drain liquid from bruschetta before pureeing for a thicker sauce
*Pumpkin Shaped Grilled Cheese Sandwiches*
The pumpkin shaped grilled cheese sandwiches are another easy, fun hit! I bought a pumpkin cookie cutter and used it to make pumpkins out of the veggie bread. I put Goat Gouda in between the bread and sautéed them in coconut oil! So incredibly yummy!! They are also really good at room temperature, so you can serve them at your Halloween gathering!
If you don’t have a pumpkin cookie cutter, you can make your own pumpkin by cutting a stem from the veggie bread and adding it to the round grilled cheese sandwiches (pictured on right).
